Hearing Loop Installation

As members of the Institute of Sound, Communication and Video Engineers Media Pro undertake continual training. One of the services we offer is design and installation of Induction Loops and have done since 2011. Many people believe that they have a “Hearing Loop” installed in their building or place of work. Often this is never tested, so when a person arrives that requires the assistive listening option, it doesn’t work, or no-one can remember how to get it to work. We offer to investigate your installation and test it. We can verify its operation and whether it actually meets the accepted criteria. Often a loop has been installed by someone who does not understand how they work, so they just connect and amplifier to a cable – “the lights are flashing, it must be OK….” We can tell you and show you if your installed equipment is actually doing its job. We can demonstrate the correct operation of your system. We can demonstrate whether it is up to BS EN 60118-4 or BS EN IEC 60118-4:2015 and certify the installation (or not). We can design, supply and install an operation to suit your requirements – there are many options from simple “counter” type devices (for face to face or across a desk type operation), simple single loop systems to phased array low overspill options. We can help with all these and certify the installation once complete. Happy to spec an installation from plan. Please drop us an email or give us a call to discuss your next project.
